What this is
A playable fan mini-game: drag fuels from the stock slots in an arc into the fire, fighting constant flame decay; rain halves burn value, consecutive feeds stack combo. Survive the 90-second rainy night.
Three laws of stoking
The arc
The drag's final velocity vector becomes the toss. Flick upward; flat throws roll off the pile. Keys 1/2/3 quick-toss on an automatic arc.
Rain
A cloud shadow warns 2s early, rain lasts 5s, burns pay half. When the shadow appears, hold the big fuels — the exact lesson the real game teaches.
Combo
Hits within 3s stack +10% up to +90%; a miss resets it. Score = peak flame + feeds x10.
Stoking board (launch-day snapshot · for fun)
| Stoker | Score | Note |
|---|---|---|
| @checks_the_sky | 2,847 pts | Zero wet feeds all night — "the cloud shadow is the only UI that matters" |
| @pinecone_metronome | 2,310 pts | Pinecones only for 90s, combo never dipped under x1.6 |
| @piano_mover | 1,992 pts | Landed all three pianos, the last one at the buzzer |
Controls
Mouse/touch: drag from a stock slot in an arc. Keyboard: 1/2/3 to quick-toss. Free to play.
Mechanic origin: the heat values on the Fuel Codex and "rain halves everything" from Chain Reactions — the guide plays the game; the game plays the guide.
"The board leader's trick: the rain cloud's shadow arrives eight seconds before the rain. Those eight seconds are the whole game."
